The scandal around Stella Oduah keeps unfolding, as the House of Representatives on Thursday has called President Goodluck Jonathan to review the continued engagement Of Oduah, as the Minister of Aviation, for contravening the 2013 Appropriation Act

The resolution followed the adoption of the House Committee on Aviation report which investigated the purchase of the two armoured BMWs for Oduah. The report said the two cars were neither provided for in the Act nor there was due process followed in the purchase. The House directed the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to terminate with immediate effect all transactions and loan agreement with First Bank of Nigeria. The report also recommended to sanction the former NCAA Acting Director-General, Nkemakolam Joyce, and the Director of Finance, S. Ozigi, in accordance with the civil service rules, for breaching the 2013 Appropriation Act. It urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC, and other anti-corruption agencies, to further investigate the discrepancies in the chassis number DW68032 of the vehicles. It recommended the investigation of COSCHARIS Nigeria Ltd., on the issue of waiver, source and exact cost of the two BMW cars supplied to the NCAA. The report further stated that Oduah contravened the Appropriation Act by exceeding the ministry's approval limit of N100 million by the purchase of 54 vehicles at N643 million. The report also directed the Ministry of Finance to recover all monies spent on the entire transactions and pay same into the Federation Account. To recall, Oduah appeared before the committee on October 31 and denied concealing any information on the transaction.
